Save the dates: TMN 30 Under 30 Awards return January 2022

The Music Network’s annual search to spotlight the music industry’s future leaders will return for a third consecutive year in 2022, with early entries opening in late January.

The next iteration of the program will also deliver a welcomed first, with an in-person awards mixer confirmed to take place at a brand new venue in The Rocks, Sydney during April.

The national awards program gives future industry leaders aged under 30 the opportunity to showcase their achievements, vision for the sector and propel their careers forward.

Entrants will also catch the attention of another all all-star judging panel.

Early entries will be free again in 2022, running from late January to February 27, before late entries open for the stragglers on February 28 at a cost of $49 plus GST per submission.

Late entries will close on March 13, with a shortlist of 50 finalists revealed in April.

TMN received a record number of entries last year, with almost 150 young professionals from across the Australian music ecosystem entering the awards, leading to a diverse list of winners.

Entrants from previous years, including finalists and winners, are encouraged to enter again.

Now is the perfect opportunity to reflect on the year that was and begin to prepare submissions. Entrants will be asked to answer five questions including their career history and achievements, what makes them a future leader and what professional success looks like.

Entrants are also asked to detail what they believe to be the biggest challenges and threats facing the music industry, and to include an optional written reference and a copy of their resume.

The annual awards program has been supported by some of the sector’s biggest players in recent years; from APRA AMCOS, Eventbrite, TikTok, MTV to all three of the major labels.

More details about this year’s TMN 30 Under 30 Awards, including sponsors and the addition of a new breakout award, will be revealed next Monday when entries open.

To learn more about sponsorship, get in touch with TMN’s partnership director, Brian Lawlor.
