Zoo Twilights enjoy most successful season in 20 year history as final two acts announced

With the Teskey Brothers, Rockwiz Live and Jet hitting capacity for Zoo Twilights shows at Melbourne Zoo, over half (nine) of the 16 date 2018 series is now sold out.

This is the highest selling year in the event’s 20+ year history.

They join the ranks of The Cat Empire, Ben Folds and Neil & Liam Finn who have each sold out two dates.

Tickets are still on sale for Cut Copy, Sunnyboys and The Preatures, as well Neil & Liam Finn’s third history making show for the series.

Zoo Twilights has also announced the final two artists.

NIMA (National Indigenous Music Awards) award-winning duo Electric Fields will support Cut Copy on Saturday January 27.

Often featuring languages of the Anangu people, Electric Fields’ music ranges from soulful pop to epic-scale electronic.

Swedish pop romantic Jens Lekman will join Grizzly Bear on Friday March 9 for his first Melbourne show in four years.

He is touring in support of his fourth album Life Will See You Now.

Running every weekend in 2018 from Friday January 26 until Saturday March 10, Zoo Twilights 2018 program boasts a fresh mix of talent from revered international acts to local heroes, many of whom make their debut performance this year.

Every concert is open to all ages and as a not-for-profit organisation, it’s all for a good cause.

Every ticket sold through Zoo Twilights goes back into Zoos Victoria’s ongoing commitment to fight extinction of the 21 most at-risk species in Victoria, including the Eastern Barred Bandicoot, which is sadly extinct on the mainland.
