TEG Taps Belinda Shaw as Group CFO

Belinda Shaw is the new chief financial officer for TEG Group.

With effect from July 22, Shaw succeeds TEG’s CFO of 13 years, Sandra Rouse, who “remains in the TEG family” and stays on hand to ensure a seamless handover, reads a statement from the tech, live entertainment and ticketing expert.

Shaw boasts more than 25 years’ experience in senior positions, leading global and regional teams in Asia, Europe, the United States and Australia.

“We are delighted to have an Executive of Belinda’s calibre join TEG as our chief financial officer,” comments TEG Group CEO Geoff Jones.

“Belinda comes to TEG with a proven track record working with Global brands across local and international markets, and her in-depth knowledge and experience will be key to the role as we continue to drive growth. I warmly welcome Belinda to TEG and look forward to working alongside her.”

She comes to TEG from Boral, Australia’s largest vertically-integrated construction materials business, where she served as CFO.

Before that, she was acting CFO at Sydney Airport, and, previously, held senior executive roles at General Electric (GE), as CFO of ANZ and PNG regions, CFO Global Mining and CFO Global Locomotive.

In her new role, Shaw will “play a vital role working with TEG’s growing portfolio of live entertainment businesses,” reads a statement, and will provide strategic direction and development, and serve as a key architect for growth and planning.

Jones paid tribute to Rouse for “her enormous contribution, noting that she will transition into a new role in the business where her “intimate knowledge of the 0perations and landscape will drive a number of important initiatives across strategy, M&A and operations.”

Based in Sydney, TEG operates more than 30 brands in 40 countries on six continents, including Ticketek, TEG Dainty, TEG Live, Laneway and TEG Van Egmond. TEG also produces SXSW Sydney, the second edition of which will take place Oct. 14-20.
