White Sky launches tax division, now full service company

Australia’s music industry accounting services business White Sky, has launched a new tax division called White Sky Tax.

White Skymanages all things business and accounting for over 500 artists, managers, festivals, promoters and labels in Australia and around the world.

Clients include Tame Impala, Gotye, Laneway Festival, Vance Joy, Guy Sebastian, Remote Control Records, John Butler, RUFUS, and Angus & Julia Stone.

The launch of White Sky Tax further reinforces its position as the leading full-service music business management firm in the Australian music industry.

“Our goal has always been to provide the music industry with personalised, expert advice and world-class business management support,” says Tom Harris, White Sky founder and managing director.

“We’re continually pushing ourselves to improve and adapt our skillset and our new tax division enables us to now offer the full range of services in an ever-changing industry.”

White Sky Tax is a joint venture with Banks Group, a music industry-specialist tax firm which has worked with many Australian acts including Jet, The Temper Trap, Eskimo Joe, Sneaky Sound System, Kasey Chambers and Tim Minchin.

White Sky was founded in 2002 by Tom Harris. After a decade of assisting artists and record labels with bookkeeping services, White Sky expanded in 2012 to offer royalty accounting services, with music royalties expert Gerry McKenna coming on board as co-director of White Sky Royalty Accounting
