TMN, Universal, Audience Republic and Eventbrite present Music Tech Summit

Audience Republic has announced the latest lineup for its free Music Tech Summit event, to be hosted at Universal Music’s office in Sydney on Thursday May 4.

Junkee Media co-founder Tim Duggan will moderate the panel of speakers, comprised of several leaders and influencers across music and technology:

  • Danny Rogers, Founder of Laneway Festival
  • Georgie Powell, Music Partnerships at Google/YouTube
  • Alice Kimberley, Strategist at VICE
  • Joel Connolly, Blackbird Ventures (and founder of Umbrella Management)

From virtual and augmented realityto chatbots, robotics, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things, there’s a staggering range of new possibilities when it comes to sharing music and communicating with fans and peers, as well as an ever-changing array of current technologies jostling for space with older and more established channels.

With expertise covering content strategy, platforms, international events, artist management and development, investment, and brand partnerships, the panel will share their experiences and predictions on how technology is shaping the areas they work in within the music industry and beyond it, and how audiences experience music now.

The summit kicks off at 6pm, at Universal’s William St headquarters in Woolloomoolloo, and is co-presented by Eventbrite and TMN alongside Audience Republic and Universal.

The event is free, but capacity is strictly capped at 120. To register interest in attending, click here.

The previous Music Tech Summit, held at Fishburners in April last year, featured We Are Huntedco-founder Stephen Phillips and former Twitter Head of Music Bob Moczydlowsky.

TMN is proud to be the Media Partner for Music Tech Summit.
