Unisounds is the fresh face of the National Campus Band Competition which, as Australia’s longest running talent discovery event, for over 26 years has hosted artists as diverse and wonderful as Augie March, Eskimo Joe, Dappled Cities and Jebediah on campuses across Australia. In a brand new partnership between Hub Artist Services and the Tertiary Access Group the competition will evolve away from the traditional band format to an all-inclusive, multi-genre phenomenonembracing the true diversity of talent in the Australian University system. From today, eligible students will be able to enter the program online via the specially curated Music Glue platform at www.unisounds.com.au –for a chance to become one of six national finalists vying to perform at the live national final in Sydney this October, and asupercharged prize pack including arecord deal with Dine Alone Records ( City and Colour, Alexisonfire, The Dandy Warhols), recording sessions and studio time with ARIA producers, songwriting sessions with writers from The Kennel, a PR package, guitars, backline, clothing and loads of other career-starting swag valued at over $100,000.
