As part of its 10th-anniversary celebrations, Spotify has released a number of all-time streaming lists.

No surprise, that Drake, Ed Sheeran and Rihanna dominate most of them.

Spotify was developed in Stockholm, Sweden. The company was founded by Daniel Ek, former CTO of Stardoll, and Martin Lorentzon, co-founder of TradeDoubler.

The name came from a combination of “spot” and “identify”.

As of June 2018, it claims 180 million monthly active listeners across the 65 territories where it operates, 83 million subscribers and access to 35 million tracks.

It has over 3 billion user-created playlists and claims to have paid out US$11.5 billion to right holders in the last decade.
