Peking Duk release children’s book in collaboration with BMG

From dancefloor rioters to paperback writers!

Not content with five nominations for this year’s ARIA awards and opening their own speakeasy/bar in Melbourne, EDM duo Peking Duk this morning revealed news of their latest talents – children’s book authors.

DJ Duks is a collaboration between Adam Hyde and Reuben Styles and their music publisher BMG, who will produce and distribute.

Illustrations are by Sydney artist, Alex Lehours, who has worked on campaigns with Armani Exchange, Converse and National Gallery of Victoria, among others.

“DJ Duks is a cautionary tale of two little ducks named Adam and Roobs with big dreams of fame, fortune and #millionfollowerstatus on Quakker,” explains Styles.

“Through the twists and turns of the music industry, the DJ Duks get to hang out with celebrities (some with millions of followers), own fancy cars and live in a mansion but they soon notice the emptiness of these people around them and the world of social media.

“Adam and Roobs have to figure out a way to reconnect with the friends and the music they’ve left back at home in the Ducklands.”

Adds Hyde: “This is a very special project for us, we are proud of DJ Duks and excited to see how kids of all ages react to it.

“It’s been a pleasure working with the team at BMG and the super talented illustrator Alex Lehours on bringing this vision to life.”

DJ Duks is being aimed at the Christmas market, and pre-ordered here for December delivery.

It is also available in limited edition Banger Bundles and Fuego Bundles.

The Banger Bundle includes a personally signed book, Adam & Roobs rubber duck set, headphones, keyring and stickers, all in a custom limited-edition box.

Fuego bundle includes the book and the rubber duck set.
