Three new label signings were announced this morning (Friday 4).

Death By Denim @ ADA/Warner

Perth guitar four-piece Death By Denim have struck a deal with ADA/Warner.

New single ‘Make It Up As We Go’ is the fourth release from the March 18-due album Moonbow.

It follows up debut Sleepless And Sunkissed, which received strong triple j support and sees them hit the road nationally in March/April.

“We are very excited to welcome one of WA’s most exciting bands into the Warner/ADA family, and to be joining forces again with our great friends at Lemontree Music,” Warner Music Australasia president Dan Rosen said.

“We’re thrilled to be part of the Death By Denim team and excited to be working with them to get their album out into the world”, Ben Ralph, SVP ADA Australia & Distributed Labels, added.

Death By Denim explained, “Make It Up As We Go’ as “our current life mantra now; we are all dead broke on the other side of 25 but you can’t deny it has been a blast.”

Mousey @ Native Tongue

Christchurch, NZ songwriter Mousey (Sarena Close) has assigned her publishing to Native Tongue as she drops new single ‘My Hands Are Made of Glass’ and preps the March 11 issue of her second album My Friends.

Her 2019 debut Lemon Law earned nominations at the 2019 APRA Silver Scrolls for breakout track ‘Extreme Highs’. She was also announced as a finalist for the Taite Music Prize for creativity.

Close said: “It’s already so obvious that the team at Native Tongue are invested and on board with all my goals for Mousey and as a songwriter! I’m especially looking forward to writing more for other artists, something that the team have already shown they’re keen to facilitate.”

Native Tongue NZ GM Pennie Black, a fan of her debut album, stated, “Her forthcoming album further cements her status as an up and coming talent in Aotearoa.”

Inertia @ Resist Records

Sydney alt-metal band Inertia have joined the roster of Resist Records, home to Parkway Drive, Polaris, Pridelands and Mirrors.

Their new single ‘Hivemind’, from the March 18-due concept EP Memoria debuted on triple j’s short. fast. loud last night.

‘Hivemind’, they say, “explores the anxiety of dealing with the new world we have created through overconsumption, societal division through status and the modern day concept of capitalism.”

The music video was produced, directed and edited by Third Eye Visuals.
