Korean pop culture convention KCON comes to Australia

KCON Music and pop culture festival is set to make its first appearance in Australia from Friday 22nd and Saturday 23rd of September at Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena.

The two-day event showcases everything surrounding Korean Culture such as K-fashion, K-food, K-dance, K-drama and the chart topping hits of K-pop artist.

TEG, live entertainment and ticketing company will be the event’s official presenting partner of KCON Australia in 2017. CEO of TEG Geoff Jones explains “K-pop is one of the biggest waves to sweep entertainment over the past decade and we know there is a massive following across Australia.”

The event first featured in 2012 inCalifornia which saw over 100,000 fans make their way to the event. Over the last 6 years the event has run KCON has attracted more than 460,000 Korean culture fans around the world.

Shin Hyung Kwan, President of Music Contents Business says “we’ve pushed forward to expand Korean wave and to make people experience different aspects of K-culture.”

Artist are soon to be announced, with pre-sale opening at 12 noon Friday 11th August, general public will commence 2pm Monday 14th August via Ticketek.
