G Flip Takes to the Stage to Promote KFC’s Arrival on Uber Eats
G Flip is the star of a new campaign promoting the availability of KFC on the Uber Eats app.
The musician is known for their drum skills, but in this campaign they replace traditional drumsticks with those of the chicken variety.
Publicity for the campaign confirmed G Flip’s drum solo in the campaign was created using only KFC drumsticks.
G Flip said it didn’t get much more fun or silly than that.
“I love any excuse to get behind the kit,” they added. “I had heaps of fun working with Uber Eats to create the drumroll for this campaign. I order with the Uber Eats app all the time, so I was stoked to work with them.”
Andy Morley, director of marketing for Uber Eats ANZ, said the brand is thrilled to be partnering with an artist of G Flip’s character and quality, describing them as “one of the world’s best musicians”.
“They’re not just a sublime musical talent, but also a genuine fan of Uber Eats and we’ve been hoping to link up with them some some time – this is the perfect way to do it,” Morley said.
Sally Spriggs, chief marketing officer for KFC Australia, said there was more to come from the collaboration.
“KFC has been a big supporter of Aussie music for some time now, so being able to partner with the amazing G Flip for the next phase of our Uber Eats launch is something we’re excited for. They’re hugely talented on stage and in the studio, but they’re also strangely gifted at banging out tunes with KFC drumsticks,” Spriggs said.

Tickets to the one-off G Flip concert will be available via a series of influencers, KFC confirmed.
Rival Menulog, meanwhile, has used international superstars including Snoop Dogg and Katy Perry, as well as local acts Baker Boy, Kirsten Salty, Spiller and Big Twisty.
