Amrap Chart Wrap – The Basics jump to #1

The launch of our Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts last week provides a unique insight into what’s gaining traction on community radio. The charts show the top ten tracks most ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service.

This week’s Wrap shows some crossover between the Metro and Regional Charts and digs up great music videos, including some filmed at community radio stations.

The Basics’ The Lucky Country jumped ten places to take #1 on the Amrap Regional Chart. Alongside regular airplay the film clip continues to pop up on loads of community radio station websites through Amrap Pages including 979 fm’s Living in the Land of OZ.

King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s Hot Water crossed over from #7 on the Amrap Regional Chart last week to take #1 on this week’s Amrap Metro Chart.Last week the track scored community radio airplay in every State and Territory.

The High Learys’ Clear My Mind debuted at #3 on the Amrap Metro Chart, making 4ZZZ’s Top 20 and the SYN Sweet 16 chart. ‘Live and Local 89.7fm’ filmed the psych beat band playing the track live at the station and added it to their YouTube Channel. That video is now being showcased across dozens of community radio websites via Amrap Pages including here at RTR FM.

Melbourne’s Sui Zhen hit #6 on the Amrap Metro Chart with Infinity Street. The track is gaining solid airplay on community radio Australia wide and in her hometown on Triple R, where the cute film clip is featured by ‘Local and or General’.

Brisbane’s Teen Sensations stayed in the Amrap Regional Chart for another week landing at #8, while also entering the Metro Chart at #10 with Monster Beach Party.4ZZZ’s program ‘Girls Can Tell’ recently filmed them in studio where they performed an impromptu cover of the Beach Boys.
