FNZ, Keanu Beats Crack Jaxsta’s Top Producers List For 2022

FNZ, the two-time Grammy Award-nominated record production and songwriting duo, and Taylor Swift collaborator Keanu Beats are among the Aussie contingent recognised by Jaxsta as leaders in their field.

Coming in at No. 1 on the “Jaxsta Honors List” of top producers for 2022 is Tyler Johnson, the American hitmaker behind Harry Styles‘ global No. 1 “As It Was“.

Johnson worked the desk on Styles’ third solo album Harry’s House, which went massive and is nominated for three Grammys.

His CV includes cuts by Sam Smith, CAM and 2016’s Ripcord by Keith Urban, the New Zealand-born, Australia-raised, Nashville-based country star, which reached multiplatinum status last year.

Announced today (Jan. 27), the top 10 includes production wizards Tainy (ROSALÍA, Sean Paul, Dua Lipa) at No. 2; Kid Harpoon (Miley Cyrus, Harry Styles, Maggie Rogers) at No. 3; the all-conquering pop superstar Taylor Swift at No. 4; and Swedish production grand master Taylor Swift, Max Martin (The Weeknd, Ariana Grande) at No. 5.

Further down the music credit specialist’s tally is Michael “Finatik” Mule and Isaac “Zac” De Boni, the L.A.-based, Perth-born production duo better known as FNZ, who come in at No. 34.

The production pair’s biggest hit of the year was Future’s “Wait For U” feat. Drake & Tems, which peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, No. 8 on the Official U.K. Singles Chart, and No. 12 on the ARIA Chart.

Previous credits include Ye (Donda), Megan Thee Stallion (Something For Thee Hotties), The Kid LAROI (F*CK LOVE 3+: OVER YOU) and Denzel Curry (Melt My Eyez See Your Future).

Also getting a tip of the hat is Keanu Beats, at No. 79 on the Jaxsta list.

The multi-platinum music producer from the Gold Coast mined precious metals in 2022 with his work on Taylor Swift’s 10th studio album Midnights, a global hit.

Keanu Beats co-wrote and produced album track “Karma”.

When Midnights dropped last October, Swift gave a shout-out on her social channels to her “brilliant collaborators,” Keanu Beats among them.

Midnights promptly went No. 1, everywhere.

“Congratulations to Tyler. His incredible achievements, and the achievements of all producers in the Top 100 and beyond resulted in 2022 being an amazing year for recorded music,” comments Beth Appleton, Jaxsta’s CEO.

“Jaxsta is proud to shine the light on all who create music, ensuring our official credits reflect accuracy and transparency. We will continue to use our unique database to highlight insights such as the Honors List.”

The Australia-based company generates its Honors List from 340-plus official data partners — record labels, publishers, distributors, industry associations and charts providers — using a weighted algorithm that captures producer’s chart performance, Spotify streams, Grammy success, RIAA certifications, and other metrics.

Jaxsta’s growing database boasts over 17 million producer credits.
