Amrap Chart Wrap – Briggs and Airling Hold on to Top Spots in Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10 tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees Briggs and Airling hold onto the top spots, with numerous other musicians entering the Amrap Charts for the first time.

Brisbane rhythm and beats-maker Airling has held onto #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Stallin’. The expansive single has hit a sweet spot with metropolitan stations, picking up places in 4ZZZ Brisbane’s Top 20, RTR FM Perth’s Sound Selection, SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16 and rotation on FBi Radio Sydney. The track has received further airplay at Edge Radio Hobart, 5YYY in SA, CAAMA Radio in NT, Noosa Community Radio in QLD, Harvey Community Radio and Twin Cities Radio in WA, 2RRR, 2SEA and Triple H in NSW, as well as Voice FM, Inner FM and Southern FM in VIC.

Briggs is back at #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart with The Children Came Back, a hip hop homage to the Archie Roach classic Took the Children Away. The rousing single has also entered the Amrap Metro Chart at #10. Tame Impala debut at #2 in the Amrap Metro Chart with a transformed sound in their new single Eventually. The track has picked up a spot in 2ser Sydney’s SERvin’ Up list, and the new record Currents is Local Feature on RTR FM Perth and Album of the Week on FBi Radio Sydney. Little May continue their strong run in the Amrap Regional Chart, taking #3 with their homesick single Home. Watch the official film clip featured via Amrap Pages on station websites across the eastern states, including 4ZZZ Brisbane, Edge Radio Hobart, 979 FM and Mountain District Radio VIC, and 2BOB, Byron Bay FM, 2RRR, Triple H and FBi Radio in NSW.

Hard riffing Melbourne world ensemble Quarter Street have entered the Amrap Metro Chart at #4 with Fantasia. The salsa dura assembly have picked up additional airplay at stations including ArtSound FM Canberra, Gin Gin’s Own in QLD, 2AIR, Highland FM and Radio Blue Mountains in NSW, as well as PBS FM, North West FM and 3RPP in VIC.

True Vibenation have entered the Amrap Regional Chart at #6 with They Shine for You, featuring Radical Son. The sombre track has racked up airplay across the country at 2XX FM in ACT, RTR FM Perth, CAAMA and PAW Radio in NT, Tribe FM, Hills Radio and 5UMA in SA, Switch, 4ZZZ, Gin Gin’s Own and Cairns FM in QLD, 2SEA, FBi Radio, Bucketts Radio and 2RRR in NSW, Twin Cities Radio, Tjuma Pulka FM, Harvey Community Radio and 6DBY in WA, as well as Seymour FM, Main FM, North West FM and Mountain District Radio in VIC.

Gurrumul has taken #7 in his first week in the Amrap Regional Chart with Jesu. My Own Pet Radio has taken #9 in the Amrap Metro Chart with No Great Misery. His animated film clip is gaining traction on station websites including 4ZZZ Brisbane, Triple R Melbourne, and Triple H and FBi Radio Sydney. The catchy downbeat single has amassed additional airplay at stations all over including 5THE in SA, Noosa Community Radio in QLD, RTR FM Perth, Radio Upper Murray, Voice FM and Mountain District Radio in VIC, as well as Triple H, FBi Radio, 2SEA and Yass FM in NSW.

Colourful Adelaide septet Conchillia are holding on at #10 in the Amrap Regional Chart with the voodoo roots tune Witchdoctor.
