Deadline for TMN Tinnies extended to November 21

Due to overwhelming demand – and a record number of entries – the deadline for this year’s TMN Tinnies has been extended.

We will now be accepting entries for the music business awards until 11:59pm (AEDT) on Sunday, November 21.

This year, the awards focus on the teams – big and small – who have worked to promote Aussie music throughout another challenging year.

Over the weekend, entries arrived from more music businesses including Wonderlick Entertainment, BRING, Chugg Music, The Handshake Agency, The Annex, Nightlife Music, Cooking Vinyl, Believe Artist Services and more. This was in addition to earlier entries from The Orchard, Yours & Owls, Unified Music Group, Lucky Ent, Mushroom Music, Wise Music, Sony Music, Select Music, SGC Media, GYROstream and Teamwrk Records.

Entries to the awards across the 15 categories are free and entrants can enter multiple categories. So far, entries to the TMN Tinnies have, on average, been taking under 30 minutes.

There are categories including Management Biz of the Year, Record Label of the Year, Live Music Biz of the Year and Music Biz Leader of the Year.

In addition, the 2021 TMN Tinnies has the new Best Response to COVID-19 award. It is open to any Australian music business that can clearly demonstrate how they have pivoted or diversified during the pandemic for the commercial or philanthropic benefit of businesses, artists and/or the wider industry.

TikTok has also partnered with TMN to create the Best Use of TikTok in Australian Music award.

The 2021 TMN Tinnies have been made possible by support from Humm Events, iHeartRadio Australia, Ingrooves, TikTok and Vevo.

Finalists will still be announced on Monday, November 29, and winners will follow on Monday, December 6.

Companies can self-nominate for the TMN Tinnies via the Take 2 Media Awards platform.
