The ShareSpace series reveals all eight artists, sets launch date

Sony Music Entertainment Australia and ZigZagTV has started the countdown for its original YouTube content series The ShareSpace.

This morning, they unveiled the identities of all the eight artists and announced its launch date as Sunday October 15.

The eight artists are:

Hannah Waddell–a 17-year-old pop/soul singer from Perth.

Zachary Staines–21, musician, producer and vlogger from Brisbane.

Jesse Jade–18, singer/song-writer from Sydney.

Tayla Mae–23, singer/songwriter and vlogger from Toowoomba, Queensland.

Damie-Lou–24, pop/soul singer and YouTuber from Melbourne.

Take Two –22-year-old Eminem loving rappers and singing twins Jordan and Brandon, from Sydney.

Tai–22, a singer/songwriter and vlogger from Sydney.

All will leave their homes and gather together at The ShareSpace, where over 30 days, they’ll create new music.

From 7:00pm AEST on Sunday October 15, the artists’ experiences and music videos will be posted to subscribers of The ShareSpace YouTube channel in the form of daily episodes, alongside additional content across all social media channels.

The eight will be presented with various challenges, collaborative opportunities and industry development support. This includes visitsfrom established international and local artists.

All eight have experience writing songs, and many have set up recording studios in their homes.

According to the show’s producers and creators: “In a global first, an algorithm will collate data from the published content including likes, comments, views, shares and streams, to determine which of the talent has had the best engagement each week and ultimately, who is the most outstanding content creator at the end of the 30 days.

“This artist will receive a global writing and collaboration experience and be signed to Sony Music Entertainment.”

The hosts of the project are Jai Waetford and Alli Simpson.

The ShareSpace is developed in Sydney by Sony Music Entertainment Australia in collaboration with ZigZagTV and Executive Producer Julie Ward (Australian Ninja Warrior, The Voice, ARIA Awards, Australian Idol, So You Think You Can Dance and Australia’s Got Talent) and supported by YouTube and Pepsi Max.
