Hutch Collective signs Sarah Saint James to management deal

Hutch Collective has announced it has signed rising alt-pop star Sarah Saint James to a deal.

The deal coincides with the release of her new single ‘Heather’, which is out today.

James’ previous song ‘mad at god’ achieved more than two million streams and over 1.5 million views from user-generated content on TikTok.

She met the team on Clubhouse in the middle of the pandemic last year, and said she’s thrilled to join the roster.

“Larissa and Josh were absolutely the right fit for me personally and for my art, both encouraging my creativity and expression, plus Peter on board to help me develop as an artist is something I am so appreciative of,” she said.

“It’s been great to trust that my vision and long-term goals are seen and supported by Hutch, and I’ve never been more excited for the future.”

Hutch Collective was co-founded by Larissa Ryan, Josh Milgate and Peter Hume. Its arm represents Odette and Didirri, while its video production business has worked with the likes of and Masked Wolf.

Ryan – a TMN 30 Under 30 winner – said she is so happy to be working with James and to help her run towards her dreams.

“Sarah knows what she wants and she values every moment – sometimes when you grow up with less, your dreams become razor-sharp and you can see purpose more clearly. When I heard Sarah’s demos, her enthusiasm, raw talent and passion to be the best songwriter she can be, reminded me why we love what we do,” she said.

Milgate added: “We’re very excited to welcome Sarah to our Hutch family. We instantly resonated with her storytelling and her approach to as a way of connecting with, and sharing experiences with, her fans.”

‘Heather’ was co-written by Alex Lahey.
