Sampa The Great joins Mallrat at the top of the community radio charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10 tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week, Sampa the Great has risen to #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart, with Mallrat maintaining hold of #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart.

Sampa the Great has shifted into #1 during ‘Rhymes To The East’’s second week in the Amrap Metro Chart. Sampa the Great chats with Caitlin from Breakfast on RTRFM Perth, to discuss how she struggled to find creative inspiration at one point in her career, discovering her artistic identity, and her collaborative work and friendship with Remi and Sensible J. The Cactus Channel appear at #2 in the Amrap Metro Chart with the track ‘Leech’, off their latest album. Paul Kelly has ascended to #2 in the Amrap Regional Chart with ‘Rising Moon’. Moving into #3 in the Amrap Metro Chart is Victorian based artist Kira Puru with the track ‘Tension’. The charting track, which features a hypnotic melody, has been included in SYN’s Sweet 16 and Edge Radio’s New Music List, with additional spins from FM in QLD, 2NVR and 2SER in NSW, 107.3 HFM and Voice of the Avon in WA, 5BBB and Three D Radio in SA as well as 979fm, Triple R, OCR FM, 96.5 Inner FM, 3WBC and 3MDR in VIC.

Shane Nicholson debuts at #3 in the Amrap Regional Chart with ‘Even If You Were The One’. Listen to the audio for the alt-country track as featured via Amrap Pages on station websites including Fraser Coast FM in QLD, as well as One FM, 3NOW, and 96.5 Inner FM in VIC. The latest single from Nicholson’s album, Love and Blood, has received airplay from Radio Mama in WA, 2VR and TankFM in NSW, Coast FM and Fraser Coast FM in QLD, 5CST, Radio Alexandrina, Fleurieu FM and 5 Triple Z in SA as well as 979fm, 3WAY, 3WBC, 99.9 Voice FM, 3HOT, 96.5 Inner FM, Yarra Valley FM, Eastern FM, 3MDR, R Double P FM and 3RPC in VIC.

Godtet moves into #4 in the Amrap Metro Chart with ‘Take Off’. Godtet’s self-titled debut album featured in PBS FM’s Top Ten, with the experimental jazz track ‘Take Off’ earning community radio support from Artsound FM in ACT, Noosa FM in QLD, 2SER, Eastside Radio and 2BOB in NSW, 107.3 HFM and Voice of the Avon in WA, OCR FM, 96.5 Inner FM and PBSfm in VIC as well as WOW FM, Three D Radio, 5BBB and 5 Triple Z in SA.

HANDSOME held onto #4 in the Amrap Regional Chart with ‘Late Night Ball Game’ ft. Joyride. Rising into #5 in the Amrap Metro Chart with the track ‘Small Talk’ is Brisbane’s Jeremy Neale. Georgia June appears at #9 in the Amrap Metro Chart this week with the single ‘Broke’.
