Rob Potts Entertainment Edge continues under new CEO

Rob Potts Entertainment Edge (RPEE), the company founded by concert and festivalpromoter Rob Potts, has announced future plans after his death in a motorbikeaccident last month.

Potts’ son Jeremy Dylan is taking over as CEO, and Sally Potts stays on as ChiefFinancial Officer.

The company said in a statement, “Rob’s legacy of bridging the divide betweenthe country music industries of Australia and North America and strengtheningthe Aussie country scene will be continued into the future.”

RPEE will remain in partnership with Michael Chugg’s Chugg Entertainment in theCMC Rocks festival and various country tours, and with Jeff Lewis on guitaristTommy Emmanuel’s Australian tours.

It will also continue to manage Nashville-based Australian country music singer-songwriter Morgan Evans along with Fitzgerald Hartley and Kerry Roberts.

Potts firmly believed that he could be the next Keith Urban.

Dylan has worked alongside his father at RPEE since 2007. Sally returned tothe company earlier in 2017 after some years in the charity sector.

He told TMN, “I had the privilege of working alongside my father at RPEE foralmost exactly ten years, across a number of different roles.

“But for the most part, I was our marketing manager and in-house contentproducer, and part of Morgan Evans’ management team.

“I did relocate to Nashville in August, but now that I am taking over thecompany, I will be splitting my time between the US and Australia.

“With our key focus as a company bringing the legends, superstars and stars oftomorrow from the US country scene to Australia, there is a real advantage tobeing on the ground in Music City.”

Potts’ passing was greeted with “extraordinary messages of sympathy and supportfrom throughout the industry in Australia, the United States and beyond”.

There were memorial services in Sydney and Nashville.

Country music figures are looking for a permanent honour for him.

Dylan reveals, “There are definitely ideas currently being discussed, butnothing at the announcement stage yet.

“I am heartened and encouraged by what has been proposed so far and hope we canbring something to fruition before long.”

In 2018, RPEE is touring Luke Bryan with Dustin Lynch; and Darius Rucker with Luke Combs, in March.

Kip Moore and Lee Brice are playing together in April.

“Many of these dates are sold out, with very few tickets remaining for theothers,” Dylan says.

“It feels like there’s more excitement coming from the country crowd inAustralia than ever.”
