Radio Today parts ways with long-time Editor

Blair Sullivan has announced his departure from radio industry website Radio Today after two and a half years as Editor.

Sullivan took over the role from Mark Hales and now leaves to concentrate on his company Create Consult Research, after it gained new clients from Australia and abroad.

In an article posted today by Sullivan on Radio Today’s website, he signed-off and confessed his undying love for radio that will continue through his career.

“It’s the same passion you have for what you do day in, day out,” he said “In the last 2 years 6 months 6 days (yes I’m counting), I have had the chance to work, talk, laugh and more with heaps of On-Air talent and teams.”

Sullivan has worked in the industry for over 29 years for various radio and television brands and groups across Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Europe. His expertise spread across programming, strategy, management, branding, marketing, content and talent development and research.

In addition, Blair has also guest lectured at Australia’s leading Universities on Research Methodology, Marketing, Branding and Positioning for over 17 years.

Taking Sullivan’s place is new Managing Editor Jake Challenor, who also runs Sydney-based marketing company Jaden Social. Last Week, Radio Today underwent new ownership with Jaden Social acquiring a majority stake in the company.

Challenor’s radio career has included stints at 100.9 ZZZ in Lismore, then SAFM (now hit107) in Adelaide, Hitz 939 in Bundaberg, and 2SM Sydney. In the last ten years, he has moved into music, media and marketing.

Jay Bradley, who has run Radio Today’s sales and administration since its launch in February 2012, also leaves Radio Today citing new directions.
