Profitless Pandora now has a Hipster Brunch playlist?

The internet radio company recently sacked its Australian workforce and closed its Sydney office, then reportednet losses of $407.4 million in the first six months2017, before announcingSiriusXM had agreed to make a $480 million strategic cash investment in Pandora.

But the platform’s on-demand service thatwas introduced earlier this year has beenexpanded in North America overnight, to include 250 more playlists covering more moods, activities, specific artists and “cultural moments.”

A more limited range of playlists will also be available forits free-tiered users.

The playlists will be updated regularly although, we gather, not as regularly asthose by Spotify and Apple Music.

The one that is getting the most attention is Hipster Brunch, which Pandoradescribes as, “Top off your bottomless mimosa, get your avocado toast, and enjoythis upbeat buzzworthy soundtrack.”

The TRL Era evokes MTV’s Total Request Live of chart-topping pop from 1998 to2008, Cuffing Session “sets the mood with naughty Hip Hop and R&B”, I Hate MyBoss is self-explanatory, and Waterfalls nods (exuberantly) to party R&B.

There’s also Tight Pants Dance Party, Country Drinkin’ Songs, a motivationalBeast Mode, Top Country Workout Songs, Heartbreak Reggae, Modern Yacht Rock, apumpkin spice latte option, Woke AF Comedy and Turn Out The Lights.

The Playlists can be found in the Browse module of the Pandora app.

Users will also find personalized recommendations for the playlists based ontheir listening history.
