Nominees announced for the 2017 FBi Sydney Music, Arts & Culture Awards

FBi Radio has announced nominees for the 2017 FBi Sydney Music, Arts & Culture (SMAC) Awards.

Each year since 2008, theFBi SMAC Awards have recognised Sydney’s most exciting new talent in music, arts and culture. Its partners this year includeAPRA AMCOS, Young Henry’s, 42BELOW, Cake Wines, Epic Pizza and Carriageworks.

This year’s winners will join past recipients such as The Preatures, Shining Bird, Flume, Royal Headache, Sampa the Great, artists Angela Tiatia and Tony Albert among many more.

Over 9 categories, this year’s Awards will celebrate Sydney’s most exceptional musicians, artists, performers, restaurants and events. A special SMAC of the Year Award will also be presented to an individual who has made a significant contribution to Sydney’s vibrant cultural life.

Voting is open to the public as of 9am today (November 30) and will run until 5pm December 28.

Winners will be announced at a ceremony on Tuesday, January 30, held at Carriageworks and broadcast live on FBi 94.5FM.

The invite-only Awards ceremony will feature performances by a handful of 2017’s most groundbreaking artists, to be announced very soon.
