MusicNSW reveal Round 2 recipients of Opportunity Development Grants

NSW’s peak music association MusicNSW announced the recipients of Round 2 of the 2017 Opportunity Development Grants.

This program is aimed at supporting musicians and artist managers in developing opportunities whilst attending Australian industry conferences, domestic tours, trade fairs and other career-defining opportunities in 2017, such as Electronic Music Conference, Face the Music, support tours and more.

The recipients of Round 2 are:

KINDER

Maitland sisters Savannah and Briony Osei(pictured) have been boosting their cred, not only with dynamic festival appearances on Groovin’ The Moo, Falls and Splendour but a hectic club schedule of their high octane house busters.

YUMMY TUNES

The two-year-old digital audio sample store was established by two electronic music producers to contribute to the evolution of electronic music by providing top quality audio samples and production knowledge.

SWAMP FAT JANGLES

The guitar and banjo-toting four-piece with three songwriters came from Durban, Windsor, Sydney and the Southern Highlands to what they call “a secret swamp near Sydney’s South West where the mosquitos buzz, the screen door yawns and verses are sung out on the porch.”

SONDRIO

Sydney DJ and producer who just dropped his own single ‘Versey’ also has global acclaims for his remixes, including the one for Fatboy Slim’s Praise You’’.

EASY STREET

Four-part harmonies, heavy vintage synthesizer, guitar solos and a rhythm section schooled in jazz A new single ‘Made 22’ is a taster for their December 1 due debut EP made with ARIA award winning producer Wayne Connolly.
