Most Added: The Weeknd coasts through in a blow out radio win

Commercial radio was tickled pink at the prospect of a new single from The Weeknd as ‘Call Out My Name’ ran over all the competition at radio. Additions came rolling in from both KIIS stations, the entire Nova network, the Hit Regional Network, ACE Radio, and everywhere else that broadcasts music.

Sam Smith’s rejigged version of ‘Pray’ featuring rapper Logic offered no threat to The Weeknd, but managed to post a plethora of strong additions. While Nova and KIIS weren’t persuaded by the track, a number of metro Hit stations and added ‘Pray’ across the board.

Indie artist Lauv proved he’s not a one-hit wonder with ‘Chasing Fire’ garnering a steady week of adds. Ash London was one of the main culprits who lended their support. The Hit nights host was also instrumental in boosting ‘Lullaby’ by Sigala and Paloma Faith, pushing it to fourth spot on the chart.  

Finally, Sydney act DMA’S are the Most Added Aussie artist of the week. triple j immediately playlisted ‘For Now’ as Sydney’s FBi Radio followed suit and added the song on B Rotation.
