Ministry of Sound launches streaming app

UK record label and entertainment business Ministry of Sound has launched Ministry of Sound Live, a non-stop music streaming service.

The free app for iPhone and Android has 24/7 curated channels and on-demand mixes from top range DJs as Hardwell (pictured), Judge Jules, Mark Knight and Steve Aoki with more in the pipeline.

A dance station Live From The Club sees MOS’s resident presenters playing love at the Ministry of Sound nightclub in London every Friday and Saturday night.

The initial six streaming channels are inspired by Ministry of Sound’s mood-inspired compilation series, including Chilled, Running Trax, Throwback RnB, Anthems, I Love House and Anthems Hip-Hop. These will be “curated and mixed by the best in the industry and refreshed every week to include the very latest releases and remixes.”

I Love Garage, Hed Kandi and 80’s Mix will be introduced by the end of the year.

Ministry of Sound CEO Lohan Presencer described the app as “for people who love music but don’t have hours to spend searching for the latest tracks and remixes or re-discovering the classics.

“We wanted to create a fully accessible digital music experience with the same feel good factor as our world famous compilation albums, which top the charts and sell millions of copies each year.”
