Jess Ribeiro and Vance Joy Climb to #1 in Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10 tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees two artists climb the charts to take out the top spots.

Jess Ribeiro has taken out the top spot in the Amrap Metro Chart with her new single Hurry Back to Love. The Melbourne songwriter’s popularity extends beyond the metro airwaves as she also debuts at #5 in the Amrap Regional Chart. Listen to her interview and live performance on Test Pattern on Triple R Melbourne, with a bonus killer rendition of the title track to her new record Kill it Yourself. The record picked up Album of the Week on Triple R and a spot in SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16. Watch the official film clip featured via Amrap Pages on stations including 4ZZZ Brisbane, RTR FM Perth, Edge Radio Hobart, Triple H FM Sydney and Mountain District Radio in VIC.

Vance Joy has climbed to #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart with the tumultuous single Fire and the Flood. Watch the film clip featured via Amrap Pages on station websites including Gove FM in NT and North West FM in VIC. The track has received additional airplay in every state and territory at ArtSound FM in ACT, RTR FM in Perth, King Island Radio and Way FM in TAS, 4DDB, Valley FM and Bay FM in QLD, 5TCB FM, Fleurieu FM and Lime FM in SA, HOT FM, The Pulse and UGFM in VIC, and also Port Stephens Radio, 2AIR and Macarthur Community Radio in NSW.

Andrei Eremin continues his solid run in the Amrap Metro chart, coming in at #2 for his third week running with Anhedoniac. Eremin’s liquid beats have earned him rotation on FBi Radio Sydney, a spot in RTR FM Perth’s Sound Selection and SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16 playlist. The atmospheric single has racked up further airplay at CAAMA Radio in NT, 4ZZZ Brisbane, 3NRG, Southern FM and 3RPP in VIC, as well as Northside Radio, 2ser, 2TLC and 2YYY in NSW.

The Waifs take #2 in the Amrap Regional Chart with the homesick single 6000 Miles. Watch a live performance clip of the song as featured via Amrap Pages on station websites including Gove FM NT, Mountain District Radio VIC, RTR FM Perth, Radio Goolarri WA, Harvey Community Radio WA, 2RRR Sydney, 2GLF Sydney, Nambucca Valley Radio and Byron Bay FM in NSW.

Melbourne duo Big Scary are at #3 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Organism. The track is going down well with metropolitan stations, racking up rotation on FBi Radio Sydney and a spot in SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16 with additional airplay at stations across the country including Edge Radio Hobart, WOW FM in NSW, Valley FM in QLD, 5GTR and 5THE in SA, as well as 3MGB and Ballarat Community Radio in VIC.

Melbourne MC Lady Lash has entered the Amrap Regional Chart at #7 with the jazz-laced hip hop number Lady of the Night. The track has received airplay across Australia at stations including 2XX FM and ArtSound FM in ACT, 8CCC in NT, Tribe FM and WOW FM in SA, Twin Cities FM, Wangki Yupurnanupurru in WA, Cairns FM and Fraser Coast FM in QLD, PBS FM and 3NRG in VIC, as well as 2SEA, 2WAY and Monaro FM in NSW.

Meg Mac has debuted at #4 and #8 in the Amrap Regional and Metro Charts respectively with her new pop single Never Be. Listen to her interview on Radio Adelaide, talking about being an independent artist and the moment she realised that all she wanted to do was sing. The track has earned her a position in the SYN Melbourne Sweet 16.

Ash Grunwald has joined the Amrap Regional Chart ranks at #9 with Second Guess. Listen to his interview on Radio Adelaide chatting about his recent album NOW (that’s the name of the album, not an order). The single has garnered airplay in every state and territory at Tjuma Pulka Aboriginal Media Corporation in WA, 2SEA in NSW, Noosa Community Radio in QLD, 8CCC in NT, TYGA FM and Huon FM in TAS, Hills Radio and Coast FM in SA, as well as Melton Community Radio and Southern FM in VIC.

Nicole Brophy makes her first appearance in the Amrap Regional Chart at #10 with the vintage single Empty Tin. Enjoy a live performance of the cheeky track featured via Amrap Pages on RTR FM Perth and Byron Bay FM in NSW.
