Mallrat breaks into the Hot 100 for the first time

Mallrat may just be Brisbane (and Australia’s) next big thing. This 17-year-old hip hop upstart is debuting on the Hot 100 with ‘Better’ at #81. Also topping the Hot 100 Alternative chart this week, triple j is steering this ship nicely as yet another Aussie artist makestheir mark on the airplay chart.

Whatever Marshmello touches turns to gold

The latestTMN Data Dive reveals just that, and Marshmello’s latest single ‘Wolves’ has progressed even further on the Hot 100 this week. At #5, the single marksthe DJ’s highest-charting single to date and Selena Gomez’ second-best effort as a lead artist behind 2016’s ‘Hands To Myself’.

Spins for ‘Dirty Sexy Money’ are multiplying rapidly

Up from its #70 debut to #22, David Guetta & Afrojack’s star-studded new single is getting some real commercial radio love. No other track rose more frames on the chart than ‘Dirty Sexy Money’ this week. Combined spins for metro Hit stations improved by 360%.

Is this the start of something big for Maroon 5?

‘What Lovers Do’ ft. SZA has risen inside the Top 10 on the Australian Spotify, Shazam and iTunes charts this week. The track is gaining some real momentum and may well follow suit on the Hot 100 as it begins to creep towards the Top 20. To date, Maroon 5 has six Hot 100 #1 singles to their name, the most recent being 2012’s ‘One More Night’.
