Face The Music adds new speakers, launches final program

In the run-up to Melbourne’s annual music and creative arts summit Face The Music on November 23 and 24 , the event has added new speakers and launched its final program.

The latest speakers are:

Grímur Atlason, Managing Director of the five-date Iceland Airwaves festival which has a reputation as a place to find good new music and sells out it’s 9,000-capacity.

FBi Radio’s Music Director Amelia Jenner.

Bridget Hustwaite,, currently doing triple j’s Lunch session.

Berlin Sound Diplomacy’s Katerina Ivanova, leader of the Music Cities movement which is headed to Melbourne 2018. Sound Diplomacy’s aim is to ensure that culture is built into urban planning, and advise governments in Cuba, Brisbane, Armenia, Costa Rica and St Lucia.

Millie Millgate, Executive Programmer of Sounds Australia, which now exposes hundreds of Aussie acts at trade fairs and events around the world each year (263 in 2014) and a total of 512 since 2009.

Richard Moffat, one of the most respected bookers in the country for his ability to spot emerging talent before the others, and programs festivals as Groovin’ The Moo and Falls.

Elliot Chapple, GM of crowdfunding platform Pozible which

has raised $60 million in pledges, for 14,555 projects, and which claims a 57% success rate.

Music critic Shaad D’Souza who is also Executive Producer of online video series on music BalconyTV Melbourne, and Social Media Coordinator for The Push.

Brodie Lancaster, critic, club DJ, founder and editor of film & feminism ‘zine Filmme Fatales, and published her first book No Way! Okay, Fine on pop culture in July.

Radio and TV personality and compelling podcaster Ash London.
