Digital Chart Wrap: Calvin Harris earns two tracks in the Top 3

This week, the Shazam 100 sees a new #1 in the form of Will Sparks’ Ah Yeah So What featuring Wiley & Elen Levon which is up from last week’s #3 debut. At #2 is Taylor Swift’s Blank Space which is now just one position short of its previous best at #1, although it seems unlikely that it will hit it now that the track has peaked, at least in relevance. At #3 is Para For Cuva & Anna Naklab’s Wicked Games which is up from #10 and could very well climb further up the Top 3 given the increased airplay this track hasreceived these past weeks. At #5 is the new single from Mark Ronson, Uptown Funk, featuring Bruno Mars. The track has an incredibly strong debut on the chart given it has had just a week of airplay since its release. Watermat’s Bullit has broken into the Top 20, landing at #14 from #21 and in on track to climb even further next week; itmayeven break the Top 10 depending on radio’s playlist rotations in the next few days. Another noteworthy entry into the chart comes at #23 from Sam Smith with Like I Can. Given the amount of airplay this track has received recently, it is safe to assume that this will be slowly climbing the Shazam chart in weeks to come.

Ed Sheeran continues his hold on the Spotify 20 with Thinking Out Loud remaining at #1, that said, it could soon be Calvin Harris who holds the top spot in the weeks to come.Harris has two singles in the Top 3, Outside at #2 and Blame at #3, giving him an incredibly strong foothold in the top bracket of the chart. Meghan Trainor’s Lips Are Movin debuts at #8 this week and if her last single is anything to go off of then this track will be sticking around for quite some time. Another debut happens just outside of the Top 10 from David Guetta & Sam Martin’s Dangerous, which enters at #11.

It’s a very similar scene on the ARIA Streaming chart. Sheeran still holds #1 with Thinking Out Loud, Calvin Harris & Ellie Goulding take#2 with Outside, which is up from #12, and Calvin Harris & John Newman still hold #3 with Blame. At #4 is former #1, Sam Smith’s Stay With Me, which is up from #8.Alesso’s Heroes breaks the Top 10 and reaches a new peak at #7, as does One Direction’s Steal My Girl which hits #10 from #15.Trainor’s Lips Are Moving debuts at #12, just one position ahead of David Guetta & Sam Martin’s Dangerous which is up at #13 from last week’s #14.
