Deezer revamps home page for mobile, web users

Music streaming service Deezer is rolling out a revamped homepage for mobile and web users over the coming weeks that includes finding content quicker and widening its radio service.

The updates include 60 new personalised radio-like mixes built by a team of human editors and by algorithms, fan playlists, new releases and the French service’s global network of music editors.

The new look will also give greater prominence to the ‘Flow’ radio feature. It offers new personalised music recommendations by analysing play histories in terms of which tracks were played, skipped or favourited.

The update on mobile sees a new navigation bar replace the side menu, allowing users to access their favourite music through a simple tap of the screen.

Alexandre Croiseaux, Vice President of Product at Deezer, said: “We’re constantly fine-tuning the Deezer experience for our users to make sure we are hitting the right notes.

"You may be into checking out new music thanks to Flow, listening to one of our many mood mixes, or you may know exactly what you want to listen to; either way our design now makes it even easier to find everything you want in one place.”

Deezer has 35 million tracks and six million subscribers in 180 countries.
