Chart Wrap: Adele returns to #1

Adele returns to #1 on the TMN Hot 100 this week with Hello overthrowing Duke Dumont’s Ocean Drive, now falling back to #2. Justin Bieber maintains his hold on #3 and #5 with Sorry and Love Yourself respectively.

DJ Snake’s Middle featuring Bipolar Sunshine hits a new peak at #6 from #7, as does Rudimental’s Lay It All On me at #7 from #10.

Sigala’s Sweet Lovin’marks the first new entry in the Top 10 at #9 from #19 followed by WSTRN’s IN2 at #10 from #23.

Outside the Top 10 The Weeknd enjoys a new peak with In The Night hitting #11 from #20. Meanwhile Hilltop Hoods make a big jump to #16 from #36 in their second week in the chart with Higher.

Snakehips make a huge jump to #26 from #66 with banger All My Friends featuring Tinashe & Chance The Rapper, though narrowly misses out on Most Moved. That title goes to Lost Frequencies’Reality which now sits pretty at #30 from #71 on its eighth week in the chart.

No new debuts enter in the Top 50 this week though Jess Glynne’s Take Me Home enjoys a close debut at #52. Mashd N Kutcher’s My Sunshine debuts at #63 followed by Zara Larsson’s Lush Life at #66.

ARIA Singles

Justin Bieber now holds #1 on the ARIA Singles chart for a fifth week in a row with hit Love Yourself, leading ahead of Adele’s Hello which remains at #2 for another week. Elle King’s Ex’s & Oh’s hits the Top 10 at #8 from #14 on its fourth week in the chart as Marcus Marr & Chet Faker’s The Trouble With Us takes a new peak but lands just short of the bracket at #11 from #13.

New Zara Larsson single Lush Life moves up to #14 from from #25 on its third week in the chart, just two positions below her breakthrough #3 peaking track Never Forget You at #13.

Alessia Cara moves up 10places to #19 from #29 with single Here officially breaking through with sales following a successful commercial radio service. Her heat-seeker of a track is now in its fourth week in the ARIA Singles chart and the first to be lifted off her debut Four Pink Walls EP.

ARIA Albums

Adele’s 25 enjoys week seven at #1 on the ARIA Albums chart, managing to survive the Christmas season without conceding the top spot to Michael Buble’s Christmas album.

Sam Smith is back at #6 from #16 with former #1 In The Lonely Hour while the now Gold-certifiedMolly soundtrack takes a new peak at #9 from #12.

Replacing it at #12 is the first new debut as Rachel Platten’s Wildfire takes the entry. Leon Bridges’ Coming Home re-enters high at #15 following his national tour while Sia’s 1000 Forms Of Fear re-enters the Top 50 at #30 ahead of the release of her new album This Is Acting.
