Chart Wrap: Adele holds fast for week 2

Remaining at #1 for another week is Adele’s Hello,which now sees some brief respite from the threat of Zara Larsson & MNEK, who drop to #2 with Never Forget You.

That said, it’s now Duke Dumont who’s vying for that #1 spot as Ocean Drive moves up to a new peak of #2 from #4 on its fifteenth week in the chart.

Guy Sebastian breaks into the Top 10 at #8 from #13 with Black & Blue, while David Guetta’s Bang My Head featuring Sia & Fetty Wap re-enters at #10 from #11.

Replacing him at #11 is Justin Bieber’s Love Yourself which is up from #21. At #12 from #18 is a new peak for Rudimental’s Lay It All On Me featuring Ed Sheeran, which is now in its tenth week in the chart. DJ Snake’s Middle featuring Bipolar Sunshine makes a move to #21 from #25 while 99 Souls’ The Girl Is Mine featuring Destiny’s Child & Brandy moves into the Top 30 at #26 from #33.

Taking out most moved this week by a substantial amount is Taylor Swift’s Out Of The Woods at #14 from #63, a jump of 49 spots.

Two new debuts enter in the Top 50 this week with The Weeknd’s new hit In The Night debuting at #30. It follows the success of Can’t Feel My Face and The Hills, which both hit #1 on the TMN Hot 100. At #39 is a debut from Cyrus’ Stone following a week of solid additions, earning #1 most added last week.

ARIA Singles

It’s now six weeks at #1 for Adele’s Hello on the ARIA Singles chart, one week off of being on par with her previous record of seven weeks, with Someone Like You. Justin Bieber maintains his hold on #2 and #3 with Love Yourself and Sorry sittingat #2 and #3 respectively.

Shawn Mendes takes a new peak at #4 from #6 with Stitches while Rudimental’s Lay It All On Me featuring Ed Sheeran and The Weeknd’s The Hills re-enter the Top 10 at #8 from #12 and #9 from #11 respectively.

Tina Arena, Jessica Mauboy & The Veronicas debut at #14 with Chains, their stand out track performed at the ARIAs. The original version of the track peaked at #4 in 1994. Conrad Sewell sees two of his tracks re-enter the Top 30Who You Lovin’ moves up from #32 to #24 and Start Again re-enters from outside the bracket at #28.

ARIA Albums

Adele dominates all the charts yet again with 25 holding the chart for a second week while previous albums 21 sits at #11 and 19 sits at #20.

Michael Buble continues his inevitable climb to #1 with the 12x Platinum Christmas album moving up to #3 from #4. Replacing him at #4 is the first new debut this week: The 12th Man’s The Very Best Of Richie.

Taylor Swift returns to #5 from #9 with former #1 album 1989 as her tour continues throughout the country, also propelling Vance Joy’s Dream Your Live Away to #12 from #24. Moving back up to #17 from #33 is Tame Impala’s Currents following the the band’s success at the ARIA Awards, scooping up five trophies.
