BBC to host 2018’s The Biggest Weekend music festival

BBC Music have today announced plans to host The Biggest Weekend music festival in 2018.

Held over four days with an expected 175,000 attendees, The Biggest Weekend will be hosted across four nations –England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland – from May 25-28.

The Biggest Festival is a one-off event according to organisers, and comes as somewhat of a replacement for punters in lieu of the Glastonbury Festival.

“BBC Music has a strong history of bringing the nation together for some special moments/brining the best UK music to the world and the best global music to the UK,” director of BBC RadioBob Shennansaid.

A line-up for The Biggest Fesitval is yet ot be announced.
