AU Singles Report: Ed Sheeran relinquishes his grip on the Artist Top 50

After a five-week run of domination on the Artist Top 50 by Ed Sheeran – the last four with mega-hit Shape Of You – he has conceded #1 to ZAYN & Taylor Swift’s I Don’t Wanna Live Forever. Taken from theFifty Shades Darker soundtrack, the single has been hovering in the Top 10 for a number of weeks.

I Don’t Wanna Live Forever also sits at #2 on the Hot 100 behind Katy Perry’s new release Chained To The Rhythm ft. Skip Marley. It’s the first time Katy has topped the chart since Roar held the top spot in late October 2013 for a total of seven weeks.

Calvin Harris follows up the triumphant 2x Platinum banger My Way with a much mellower vibe, nabbing this week’s #1 New Single Release. Featuring men of the moment Migos and elusive star Frank Ocean, Slide is an inviting slice of late summer, driven by soulful piano and chill, textured beats.

Taking the #1 Most Added To Radio is Kygo’s It Ain’t Me ft. Selena Gomez. The track was swamped with additions, scoring across the board support from the Nova Network, Hit Regional Network, KIIS, and commercial Hit stations, as well as an add to Ash London Live. Linkin Park’s Heavy ft. Kiiara came in at a close second, the lack of KIIS station support being the main obstacle the track faced.
