ARIA Chart Predictions: A perfect trifecta

Taylor Swift won’t be easily moved off the top of the ARIA Albums Chart. Her latest album Reputation debuted at #1 last week aftermoving about 55,000 digital and physical units in Australia, and the sales are continuing to flood in.

In fact, the rest of the Top 3 (P!NK’s Beautiful Trauma and Ed Sheeran’s Divide) are among a handful of albums that are refusing to budge. P!NK has always been a juggernaut in the Aussie market. She just spent four weeks at #1 before Taylor swooped in. Meanwhile, Sheeran’s Divide is 6x Platinum in the country and has mulled around the top tier of the chart for 37 weeks.

Taylor has seemingly joined 2017’s elite class and completed theAlbums Chart trifecta. Her track record proves just that – previous albums 1989 and Red lasted 21 and 7 weeks, respectively, in the Top 3 before finally giving way. With hype and lust for Reputation exceeding the heights ofall previous albums, we can expect Taylor to kick on well into the new year.

As the festive season draws closer, Christmas albums begin to appear (and reappear) on the Albums Chart. Sia’s newly released Everyday Is Christmas is in the hunt for a Top 10 debut. Another Aussie act, The Wiggles’ Wiggly Wiggly Christmas, will also make their debut in the top half of the chart.

Michael Buble’s chart-dominating Christmas makesits annual rise up the chart and is set to land in the Top 10 this week with plenty more room to grow from now until theend of December.

Other debuts this week come from country duo Tim McGraw & Faith Hill with The Rest Of Our Life, Paloma Faith’s fourth album The Architect, and the Silverchair tribute album Spawn.

The ARIA Singles Chart has a new #1 as Camila Cabello’s hometowntrack ‘Havana’ leapfrogged Post Malone’s mainstay ‘rockstar’ ft. 21 Savage. Rita Ora’s ‘Anywhere’ is set to make a jump up the chart this week, as is P!NK’s single ’Beautiful Trauma’.
