Amrap Chart Wrap: Krista Pav and The Gooch Palms Hold on to Top Spots in Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees Krista Pav & the Social Fabric and The Gooch Palms hold onto the top spots.

Krista Pav & The Social Fabric retain #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart while taking out #6 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Down Town. The track has received airplay in every state and territory at stations including North West FM in VIC, 8CCC in NT, Twin Cities Radio in WA, ArtSound and 2XX in ACT, Fraser Coast FM, Alex FM, Hills Radio, Tribe FM and Umeewarra Media in SA, WMA FM, UG FM, Inner FM and Voice FM in VIC, as well as Valley FM, Bay FM, Radio Skid Row, 2MCE and Radio Blue Mountains in NSW.

The Gooch Palms take out the Amrap Metro Chart for the second consecutive week with the mid-fi single Tiny Insight. Watch the Newcastle duo’s official film clip as featured via Amrap Pages on station websites including FBi Radio Sydney, Edge Radio Hobart, 4ZZZ Brisbane, Harvey Community Radio in WA, 3MDR in VIC. The song has picked up spots in SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16 and 4ZZZ Brisbane’s Top 20 new music lists.

Bag Raiders take #2 on the Amrap Regional Chart with Friend Inside having picked up airplay all over at stations including Noosa Community Radio in QLD, KCR FM in WA, Fraser Coast Community Radio and Coast FM in QLD, 5THE FM and Hill Radio in SA, TEN FM, Triple H FM, Bay FM, Monaro FM, 2MCE, Port Stephens FM and Tune! FM in NSW, as well as UG FM, Radio 3MGB, Voice FM, 3ZZZ and 3RPC in VIC.

Dorsal Fins take #3 in the Amrap Metro Chart, further taking #8 in the Regional stakes with Heart on the Floor. Watch the official video as featured on station websites including 4ZZZ Brisbane, Triple R Melbourne, and Nambucca Valley Radio, 2RRR and FBi Radio in NSW. The track has racked up spots in 4ZZZ Brisbane’s Top 20 and FBi Radio Sydney’s New Music list.

Tara Carragher has climbed to #3 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Wicked World. Listen to the Adelaide-based roots musician interviewed on Valley FM’s Monte’s Uncharted Wednesday Nights chatting about her roots in an all female Beatles cover band. Sparrows are back in the Amrap Metro Chart with On your Own, taking the #4 position in their third charting week. Watch their animated official film clip as featured on station websites including 4ZZZ Brisbane, Edge Radio Hobart, 3MDR and Alpine Radio in VIC, as well as 2MCR, Triple H, FBi Radio and 2RRR in NSW.

Boy and Bear are back in the Amrap Regional Chart with the rhythmic single Limit of Love. The track has received additional airplay on stations including Noosa Community Radio in QLD, 5THE FM and 5GTR in SA, 3RPC, Plenty Valley FM, Radio 3MGB and UG FM in VIC, as well as TEN FM, Triple H FM, 2MCE, Valley FM and 2RDJ in NSW.

Melbourne songstress Banoffee takes the #5 spot in both the Amrap Regional and Metro Charts with the textured single Body Suit. Brisbane hip hop prodigy Mallrat is back in the Amrap Metro Chart at #6 with Sunglasses, having picked up spots in 4ZZZ Brisbane’s Top 20 and SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16 new music lists. Watch the hilarious film clip as featured on station websites including Triple R Melbourne, Edge Radio Hobart, Harvey Community Radio in WA, 2RRR and FBi Radio in Sydney, as well as her hometown station 4ZZZ Brisbane.

Bearfoot are back in the Amrap Regional Chart at #6 with Impolite. The band dropped into Noosa Community Radio to chat with Kristie Moore on Original Harvest and have picked up additional airplay at stations including ArtSound FM in ACT, 3WBC, UG FM and Radio 3MGB in VIC, TEN FM, Northside Radio, Port Stephens FM, Yass FM and Radio Dungog in NSW, as well as Fraser Coast FM, Noosa Community Radio, Cairns FM, Bay FM and Coast FM in QLD.

The Woodland Hunters maintain spots in both charts, coming in at #7 and #10 in the Amrap Metro and Regional heats respectively with If You Want To Wear That Crown. Watch a live video of the track as featured via Amrap Pages on Triple R Melbourne’s station website.

Francesca de Valence continues her solid run in the Amrap Regional Chart at #7 with Own Self.
