Amrap Chart Wrap: Jason Owen and Flyying Colours Top Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the top ten tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees Jason Owen and Flyying Colours take the top spots.

Jason Owen has climbed to #1 on the Amrap Regional Chart with Proud Feat. Christine Anu. This song was hand-picked by Emily at Sydney’s Koori Radio as one ofThe 7 Best Songs You Haven’t Heard. Flyying Colours take the top spot on the Amrap Metro Chart with It’s Tomorrow Now having picked up spots in RTR FM Perth’s Sound Selection and FBi Radio Sydney’s new music lists. The song has picked up additional airplay all over at stations including Fleurieu FM in SA and Noongar Radio in WA as well as 2RDJ, Triple H FM, Radio Northern Beaches and Valley FM in NSW.

Sal Kimber and the Rollin’ Wheel have risen meteorically to #2 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Come a Knockin’, having racked up airplay across the country at stations including Tjuma Pulka FM in WA, City Park Radio in TAS, Coast FM in SA, Noosa FM in QLD, Eastside FM, TLC-FM, Northside Radio and 2AIR FM in NSW, as well as 3MGB, Eastern FM, 3RPC, Voice FM and Inner FM in VIC.

Cash Savage and the Last Drinks take #2 in the Amrap Metro Chart with Falling, Landing. Watch the band perform live-to-air on Breakfasters on Melbourne’s Triple R FM here. Emily Wurramara snags #4 in the Amrap Regional Chart, also taking #5 in the Metro stakes with Black Smoke.
