Amrap Chart Wrap – Hermitude and Dark Fair top Community Radio Charts
The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts gives a snapshot of what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10 tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week we see more chart debuts and loads of cross-platform promotion as broadcasters take to the web to give charting artists an extra boost.
Dark Fair’s summer power anthem Listen Up took top spot of the Amrap Metro Chart, up from #7 last week. They guest programmed on Triple R’s show The Golden Age of Piracy last Wednesday and have had lots of love on other metro stations including here on Sydney’s FBi Radio, Brisbane’s 4ZZZ and are feature artists here on Hobart’s Edge Radio and Melbourne’s SYN. They also landed #3 on the Amrap Regional Chart and are gaining traction on station sites using Amrap pages including here on Harvey Community Radio in WA, 979FM in Melton VIC, as well as 2BOB in Taree and Nambucca Valley Radio in NSW.
Hermitude took #1 on the Amrap Regional Chart, up from #8 last week. The horn-soaked Latin electro hip hop track Through the Roof (featuring Young Tapz from New Zealand – yep we’re claiming the track as fully Australian because Hermitude are Sydney boys) also took #4 on the Amrap Metro Chart. The track’s getting community radio airplay in every State and Territory.
Em George’s Paper Hearts moved up five positions to grab #3 of the Amrap Metro Chart. The pretty and poetic tune crossed over into the Amrap Regional Chart debuting at #10. The music video is gaining traction on station websites using Amrap Pages including here on Brisbane’s 4ZZZ, Sydney’s FBi Radio and Victoria’s 3MDR – Mountain District Radio.
Alice Springs’ Dave Crowe debuted at #2 on the Amrap Regional Chart with Where Do You Go. The calypso pop-tinged track has been getting lots of airplay across regional community radio including3RPC in Portland VIC, Valley FM 95.9 in Toogoolawah QLD, 897FM in Craigie WA, 2SEA in Eden NSW, and Coast FM in Walkerville SA.
Queensland guitar pop singer and producer Eves the Behaviour debuted at #4 on the Amrap Regional Chart with new single TV. C.W. Stoneking’s The Thing I Done also debuted at #8 and is getting attention on station sites including here on Byron Bay Fm, Sydney’s Radio Northern Beaches, Melton Victoria’s 979FM and interviews here on Radio Adelaide and Perth’s RTR.
