Amrap Chart Wrap – Cold Chisel and Asdasfr Bawd continue reign on Community Radio Charts

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the Top 10 tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees Cold Chisel and Asdasfr Bawd hold onto the top spots.

Cold Chisel holds #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart for the third week running with the new single Lost. Watch the official film clip featured via Amrap Pages on station websites including Tyga FM in TAS, 979 FM in VIC, and Bay FM, Nambucca Valley Radio and Port Stephens FM in NSW. The track has received further airplay across the country at 2RRR Sydney, PBA FM in SA, Noongar FM in WA, as well as Noosa Community Radio and 4ZZZ in QLD.

Asdasfr Bawd returns at #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart with the jungle x footwork rhythms of Alsp. The track is gripping metropolitan stations across the country, picking up a spot in RTR FM Perth’s Sound Selection, SYN Melbourne’s Sweet 16, rotation on FBi Radio Sydney and New Noise rotation on their digital imprint FBi Click. Bawd has been busy dropping by Melbourne stations of late. Catch up on his special guest mix on Triple R’s Stylin’, purveying a blend of favourites out on Heard and Felt. Guitar wielding Melbourne songwriter Mia Dyson is tearing up the Amrap Regional Chart, holding onto the #2 spot with Tearing Up The Lawn. The track has received airplay in every state and territory at stations including Artsound FM Canberra, Gove FM in NT, 89.7 FM in WA, 3MDR and 979 FM in VIC, and Nambucca Valley Radio and Bay FM in NSW.

Nicholas Allbrook is back at #2 in the Amrap Metro Chart with the intergalactic single Blanket 3072. Allbrook’s intergalactic dreamscape is picking up high rotation at stations including RTR FM Perth, FBi Radio Sydney and SYN Melbourne.

Melbourne five-piece The Paper Kites have climbed to #3 in the Amrap Regional Chart with Revelator Eyes. Watch the official clip for the track as featured via Amrap Pages at stations including TYGA FM in TAS, Edge Radio Hobart and Port Stephens FM in NSW. The dream pop track has received additional airplay at Plenty Valley FM in VIC, 5GTR FM in SA and Tjuma Pulka Aboriginal Media Corporation in WA.

Mansionair have also scaled the Amrap Metro Chart to take #3 with Speak Easy. Listen to their pre-show interview with Byron Bay FM recorded at Splendour in the Grass this year. The track has received rotation on FBi Radio, and additional airplay at stations including 5GTR in SA, Gove FM in NT, SYN in VIC, Tjuma Pulka Aboriginal Media Corporation in WA, Valley FM and Noosa Community Radio in QLD, as well as 2RDJ, 2TLC and 2EAR in NSW. Brisbane songwriter Robbie Miller has climbed three spots to take #4 in the Amrap Regional Chart with the delicate single The Pain. Listen to his interview with The Hoist on SYN FM, recorded live from BIGSOUND, talking about his first experience as a showcasing artist and his upcoming solo EP.

Sunbeam Sound Machine have jumped to #4 on the Amrap Metro Chart with their future pop single Getting Young. The track is going down well at stations in metropolitan areas, taking a position in Three D Radio Adelaide’s Top 20+1, 4ZZZ Brisbane’s Top 20, and a spot in FBi Radio Sydney’s adds list. Perth-via-Melbourne songwriter Anna O has leap frogged five spots to #5 in the Amrap Metro Chart this week with the powerful and immersive single Wish I Said. The track is a favourite at SYN Melbourne where it has picked up a spot in the Sweet 16. Melbourne Ska Orchestra have debuted at #6 in the Amrap Regional Chart with the foot-stomping single Satellite. The track has picked up additional airplay at stations including Tribe FM in SA, Main FM and RPP FM in VIC, as well as Triple H and Monaro FM in NSW.

Transvaal Diamond Syndicate has entered the Amrap Regional Chart at #10 with the swampy blues track The River. Watch their confronting music video via Amrap Pages on station sites including Harvey Community Radio in WA, 3MDR and 3NRG in VIC, and Port Stephens FM and 2NVR in NSW. The clip is intended to address violence against women. The band stopped by for an interview with Kye on 2BBB in NSW, talking all things tour and the new release.
