City of Sydney open applications for second 2017 round of all-ages funding

MusicNSW and the City of Sydneyhave announced the return of the All Ages Access Grants (AAA Grants) program for all-age events between 23October 2017 and 2March 2018.

MusicNSW and City of Sydney wish to allow a safe space for musicians to continue to share their creative works. The AAA Grants is seen as a valuable investment for the future of live music in Sydney and helps to encourage venues, booking agents, musicians and artist managers to present more all age shows.

The first round of AAA Grants ran from February 13 till June 2017. With the end of the first round of funding coming to a close, there is now a second chance to apply. Unlike other funding, the AAA Grants focus specifically on the development of all ages gigs which is an exciting initiative to support the future of music.

Other funding announced last week includes the City of Sydney’s Live Music and Performance action plan investing $1.35 million in funding programs for the live music sector as well as in support of music venues. As well as this applicants have the chance to receive up to $15,000 through the AAA Grants funding to cover all things from artist fees to production costs.

Applications are now open and close at 5pm Friday 29 September 2017.

Successful Applicants will be announced on the 9 October 2017 and will feature events between the 23 October 2017 – 30 April 2018
