“There have been a lot of poorly run festivals and large scale events over the years”: Matt Gudinski on expanding the RNB Fridays brand to a concert series

Following the announcement of the first ever series of RNB Vine Dayswinery shows, Illusive Presents, Frontier Touring, a day on the green and the Hit Network have today unveiled Adelaide as the fourth destination for the event.

Leconfield Wines at McLaren Vale will be treated to RNB royalty, with the likes ofBoyz II Men,TLC,Shaggy,DJ HorizonandYO! MAFIAset to entertain crowds on Sunday February 11.

With one show already sold out and final tickets remaining in the Hunter Valley and Mt Cotton only two weeks of being on sale, it’s expected that the entire tour will sell out.

Speaking to TMN, RNB Vine Days tour co-ordinatorMatt Gudinskiexplained thatthe popularity of the genre as a whole, as well as the disappointing performance of other RNB events, led to the need for a new concert series.

“RNB music has always had a massive following in Australia, however there have been a lot of poorly run festivals and large scale eventsover the years whichin the past never delivered upon what they promised,” he said.

“With RNB Fridays Live,Mushroom Group & Hit Network’s focus from the start was to build a reliableandtrustworthy brand that the audience would embrace at a time when theirappetite for live events in this space could not be greater.

“After two successful years of delivering what we promised with RNB Fridays Live, wehaveexpanded the brand to include the RNB VineDays eventsin regional wineries across Australia and the trust we have built with our audience and our product has transpired to the success of this new offering.”

Gudinski added that the RNB Fridays Live series is also set to return at the end of 2018, inits largestvenues and biggest line-upto date.
