36 more speakers announced for WA Music Conference

36 more speakers announced for WA Music Conference

Perth-based music association WAM added 36 more speakers to the WA Music Conference. It is held at the State Theatre Centre of WA on Friday November 6 and Saturday 7. Initially there were only to be 40 speakers in total, but WAM has increased it to over 55.

The 36, in alphabetical order are:

Also announced is that Noisey/Vice Music’s Fred Pessaro from New York City will do a keynote address on the future of music media and journalism.

Panel topics and one-on-ones will cover everything from practical masterclasses in publishing, synching, legals, tax, touring, marketing, streaming, apps, social media, recording, publicity, showcasing, radio (including a triple j and ABC special) and how to start a music business.

There’ll be more thought- provoking discussions on the changing face of music festivals, what makes artists exciting/‘cool’, the state versus music and more.
