Junk is the seventh album for Anthony Gonzalez, aka M83.

His first studio album in half a decade, Gonzalez opened up his recording world to more collaborators than ever before, venturing into new sounds and styles that took the French producer’s well known eclecticism as far and wide as possible. Old school house, retro-futuristic grooves, even prog-disco, build on each other to create an impressive album that he self-describes as an “organised mess”, a collection of songs that are not meant to work together but somehow do.
