Secret Garden 2014 announces biggest lineup to date

The Secret Garden Festival has announced its biggest lineup to date, as the Sydney boutique festival widens its scope and attempts to plug some of the gaps left in the festival market this year.

The Rubens, Papa vs Pretty and World’s End Press head up the first round of acts, with approximately forty acts to be announced.

In a year that has seen indie-leaning festivals such as Harvest and Homebake collapse, it is heartening to see Secret Garden grow. Hopefully none of this festival’s unique vibe will be lost in the expansion.

Secret Garden launched in 2009, and after an impressive inaugural event, sold out tickets for the next three years on each day of sale, all without advertising or announcing the lineup.

The 2014 event will be held from February 28 – March 1, and as always, all profits go to charity – with The Sarah Hilt Foundation and a second as-yet-announced charity receiving the monetary benefits of your lost weekend in Sydney.
