Confirmed: Matt Tilley and Jane Hall for Breakfast on KIIS 101.1 Melbourne
Last Sunday ARN confirmed the launch of KIIS 101.1, along with Hughesy & Kate taking over the national Drive show on the network. Sunday morning ARN have announced their new Breakfast team for KIIS 101.1 in 2015 will be Matt Tilley and Jane Hall.
ARN’s Content Director Duncan said KIIS 101.1 is going to be a genuinely fresh new station for Melbourne audiences.
“KIIS 101.1 will be a new station built specifically for Melbourne listeners with an exciting new breakfast show hosted by Matt and Jane. They will make for a dynamic and entertaining combination with a passion for the city set against the backdrop of a new energetic station.”
Nic McClure: The New EP for Kyle & Jackie O
With Simon Greally leaving at the end of the year, ARN have announced that Nic McClure will be working with Kyle & Jackie O in 2015 as Executive Producer.
Nic was EP for Rosso's Drive show on Sydney's KIIS 1065 and Melbourne's Mix 101.1.
An ARN spokesperson has said: “Nic's experience and broad radio background is a fantastic fit for the heritage calibre of the Kyle & Jackie O Show and both Nic and Kyle & Jackie are looking forward to reconnecting again after working together previously".
Simon Greally has been with K&J off and on for five years. He re-joined them back in 2013 while they were still at 2Day and moved with the team when they joined ARN.
Sea FM Central Coast’s New Breakfast Team
Sea FM on the Central Coast is welcoming a fresh face and a familiar voice to Breakfast in 2015, with a new breakfast show hosted by Byron Cooke and Kristie Mercer.
Byron is currently on-air with Sea FM’s networked Weekend Breakfast and Fox FM on mornings. He was also an integral part of the highly successful Fifi and Jules Show.
Kristie Mercer started in Townsville and has worked her way up through the ranks. She has worked on breakfast shows in Gippsland and Albury and is also one half of the dynamic duo ‘The Thinkergirls’ podcasts. In her spare time Kristie is a freelance writer and columnist with her hugely popular ‘Twenty Something’ Fairfax column.
Gold Coast S3; tight between Gold & Hot Tomato
Survey #3 on the Gold Coast has been released, and it's a tight battle between SCA's Gold FM and Hot Tomato.
Overall there is only 0.2% separating the two stations, with the dayparts and demos telling the story of just how tight the market has become.
SCA’s Gold FM remains on top overall (just) but have lost ground for the 3rd consecutive survey; slipping 0.7 to hold a 14.3 share.
Hot Tomato has closed the gap on Gold, but remain narrowly in second spot with a 14.1 share overall. Yep… 0.2% between the two of them!
Survey #3 in Newcastle released.
Survey #3 in Newcastle has been released. SCA’s KO FM remains on top at Number 1 all people 10+ with 15.3%, a replica of survey #2.
Local ABC 1233 is 2nd overall, they gained ground and command 11.9% of the 10+ share.
NXFM would be rapt, they jumped 1.9 points to take out 3rd overall with an 11.6. NEW FM will be happy to crack double figures, nailing 10% of Newcastle. Their stable mate 2HD was off a little, dropping to 9.8. For tripleJ, they lost share pulling a 9.9.
