The NSW Government's Createability Internship Program has locked in its 2026 cohort.

16 interns have been placed across 14 arts, screen and music industry organisations marking the biggest year in the program's history. Mushroom Group, national broadcaster triple j and Wollongong-based festival Yours & Owls Events are just a few that will participate in this year's program.

The Creatability Internship Program is a paid program that gives creative practitioners with disability or who are deaf experience in major arts, screen, music and creative organisations.

“Music thrives when we open the doors wider so more people can step into the industry and be supported to succeed,” Head of Sound NSW, Emily Collins, said.

“These placements don't just support emerging talent, they strengthen the music industry by building a bigger pipeline of skilled workers and helping organisations make practical changes that remove barriers.”

The 2026 program is co-funded with a $150,000 investment from Create NSW, Screen NSW and Sound NSW, in partnership with disability advocacy organisation Accessible Arts NSW. More than half of the 14 host organisations are new to the program, with six based in regional NSW or Western Sydney.
