Community Radio Charts: The Cactus Channel & Sam Cromack and The Meltdown Maintain The Reign

The Amrap Metro and Amrap Regional Charts provide insight into what’s gaining airplay and attention on community radio. The charts show the top ten tracks ordered for airplay by community broadcasters through the Amrap’s AirIt music distribution service. This week sees The Cactus Channel & Sam Cromack move up to #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart, with The Meltdown taking out #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart for the second week.

The Cactus Channel & Sam Cromack have continued to dominate the charts, with the latest single off their EP, I’m Not Ready To Relax, taking out #1 in the Amrap Metro Chart and #4 in the Amrap Regional Chart. Listen to the official audio track for I’m Not Ready To Relax as featured via Amrap pages, on station websites including Triple R and 96.5 Inner FM in VIC as well as Eastside Radio and 97.9 Valley FM in NSW. The EP, Do It For Nothing, was featured on 2SER’s Servin Up, with the dark soul-pop track receiving airplay fromRadio Fremantle in WA, Fleurieu FM and 5 Triple Z in SA, Coast FM, Noosa Community Radio, Fraser Coast Community Radio and Radio 4EB in QLD, 2 EAR FM, 2BOB, Radio Nambucca, 2SER and Nambucca Valley Radio in NSW as well as 3NRG, Apple 98.5 FM, OCR FM, 96.5 Inner FM and 3WBC in VIC.

The Meltdown take out #1 in the Amrap Regional Chart once again this week, whilst also appearing at #10 in the Amrap Metro Chart with the track Crooked Country. Crooked Country appeared in 2SER’s Servin Up, and the self-titled debut album from The Meltdown was PBS FM Melbourne’s Feature Album of the Week.

Bad//Dreems move up to #2 in the Amrap Metro Chart with the punchy grunge-rock track Feeling Remains. Watch the official video for the charting track as featured via Amrap pages on station websites including RTRFM Perth, 4ZZZ Brisbane, Triple H FM and Triple B in NSW, as well as 3MDR, 96.5 Inner FM and Triple R in VIC. Bad//Dreems second album Gutful, appears on 2SER’s Servin Up and was Radio Adelaide’s Feature Album of the Week.

San Cisco are back in the Amrap Regional Chart for the fourth week, with Hey, Did I Do You Wrong appearing at #2 this week. The infectious, upbeat, pop-rock track featured in 4ZZZ Brisbane’s Top 20. Melbourne’s low-fi rockersJade Imaginemake their debut in the Amrap Metro Chart at #3 with You & I. The four-piece’s debut EP, What The F**k Was I Thinking, takes out SYN Radio Melbourne’s Aussie Album of the Week. Watch Jade Imagine perform Stay Awake, a track off their debut EP, on Triple R Breakfasters Live. The grunge-pop track has earned airplay from Rox FM in SA, 96.5 Inner FM in VIC, Voice of The Avon in WA as well as FBi Radio and 2MCR in NSW.

Cookin’ On 3 Burners move up to #3 in the Amrap Regional Chart with the track Real Life Baby feat. Emmi. The groove-heavy, soul-meets-pop track has received airplay support from 5 Triple Z in SA, Noosa Community Radio and Coast FM in QLD, 89.7 Twin Cities FM and Harvey Community Radio in WA, TLC-FM, 2BOB and Eastside Radio in NSW, as well as 979fm, 96.5 Inner FM, Sunbury Radio, 3MGB and Whitehorse Boroondara FM in VIC.

Tamil Rogeon rises to #4 in the Amrap Metro Chart with track The Splendour (feat. Bobby Valentine). Tamil Rogeon’s album 24 Hours in Lapa features in PBS FM Melbourne’s Top Ten, with the jazz-infused funk/soul track gaining airplay from Fraser Coast Community Radio and Radio 4EB in QLD, 5 Triple Z, 88.9FM Hill Radio and Fleurieu FM in SA, Harvey Community Radio, Radio Fremantle, 6HfM and Warringarri Media Aboriginal Corporation in WA, 2MCE, 2BOB, Byron Bay FM and 2SER in NSW as well as 96.5 Inner FM, 3MGB, Yarra Valley FM, 3MDR, Seymour FM, OCR FM and 3WBC in VIC.

Jen Cloher enters the Amrap Metro Chart with her latest track Kinda Biblical taking out #5. The political rock track has been included in 4ZZZs Top 20 and also appear in SYN’s Sweet 16, alongside further radio airplay from 5 Triple Z in SA, 979fm in VIC as well as 2EAR FM, Nambucca Valley Radio and YASS FM in NSW.

Brisbane-based singer-songwriter Jordan Merrick makes his debut in the Amrap Regional Chart at #5 with You Gotta Go. The blues-infused folk song has earned airplay support across the country, including from City Park Radio in TAS, Radio Mama in WA, 5 Triple Z and Radio Alexandria in SA, Fraser Coast Community Radio and Noosa Community Radio in QLD, FBi Radio, Northside Radio, Nambucca Valley Radio and 2SEA in NSW as well as 3NRG, 99.9 Voice FM, Whitehorse Boroondara FM, 96.5 Inner FM, Seymour FM, Radio Mansfield and One FM in VIC.

Shrimpwitch re-enter the Amrap Metro Charts with Lust For A Kick taking out #6. Shrimpwitch performed as a part of PBS FM Melbourne’sDrive Live Extravangaza, and their enthralling and raucous live performance is available to listen to here. Lust For A Kick has received airplay support from Voice of The Avon in WA, Tribe FM and Three D Radio in SA, Nambucca Valley Radio, Radio Skid Row and SWRFM in NSW as well as Sunraysia Community Radio, 3RPC, 3MDR, OCR FM, 3CR and 3MDR in VIC.

Shirley Cresent debuts in the Amrap Regional Chart at #6 with their track Little Orbit. The raw, heavy and stripped back rock track has earned airplay support from Noosa FM and Fraser Coast Community Radio in QLD, 2EAR FM, SWRFM and Ryde Regional Radio in NSW, Rox FM, Tribe FM, and 5 Triple Z in SA, Heritage FM, Radio Mama, Voice of The Avon and Albany Community Radio in WA as well as 3MDR, 96.5 Inner FM, Radio Murrindindi, 99.9 Voice FM, Seymour FM and Sunraysia Community Radio in VIC.

Sophie Hutchings moves up to #7 in the Amrap Metro Chart with The Road. The tender, ambient instrumental track features on RTRFM’s Sound Selection and received further airplay support from Radio Fremantle and 6HFM in WA, 5 Triple Z and Fleurieu FM in SA, 2BACR, Coast FM, and 2SER in NSW, as well as 3NRG, OCR FM, 96.5 Inner FM and Seymour FM in VIC.

The Bushwackers debut in the Amrap Regional Chart at #7 with Dirt Under My Nails. The track, which is the third single from the Bushwackers new album, The Hungry Mile, has amassed airplay from City Park Radio in TAS, Radio Mama in WA, Radio Alexandria, Fleurieu FM, 5 Triple Z, and Trax FM in SA, Gin Gin’s Own, Fraser Coast FM, 4CBL and 4CFM in QLD, Triple H FM, 94.7 The Pulse, 3WAY-FM, 99.9 Voice FM, Whitehorse Boroondara FM and Radio Mansfield in VIC as well as 2OCB FM, 2NVR, STA FM, 2CHR FM, Nambucca Valley Radio, 2MIA and The Voice of Goulburn in NSW.

Airling features in the Amrap Regional Chart at #8 with the enchanting electro-pop track Give Me All You Got. Give Me All You Got has earned nationwide airplay support from CAAMA in NT, 5 Triple Z in SA, Noongar Radio in WA, 2RRR and TLC-FM in NSW, Noosa Community Radio and Nag Radio in QLD as well as 3NRG, Yarra Valley FM, Radio Murrindindi, 96.5 Inner FM, 88.9 Wyn FM, Joy 94.9 FM and 98.9 North West FM in VIC.

Perth-based psych-rock band Pond debut in the Amrap Metro Chart at #9 with Paint Me Silver. Watch the official video for Paint Me Silver as featured via Amrap pages on station websites including 4ZZZBrisbane andRTRFM Perth as well as BAY FM and FBi Radio in NSW. The second single to drop from Pond’s forthcoming album The Weather, the track has amassed airplay from Voice of The Avon in WA as well as 3NRG in VIC.

Shukura Chapman appears in the Amrap Regional Chart for the second week, with Release Me taking out #9 this time round.
