Duffy has played her first live show in 15 years.

The Welsh singer performed a secret headline show in London, England, over the weekend (as per Rolling Stone).

She treated a select group of fans inside Hoxton Hall to an intimate set featuring new material alongside fan favourites.

Judging by the social media reaction from fans, the secret show was a roaring success.

“That voice is insane!" one fan raved on X/Twitter, referencing Duffy's performance of one of her most beloved songs, “Warwick Avenue,” during the set.

Duffy first announced the show last month.

“I’m doing a secret intimate gig in London on the 5th July, next month, and I would love nothing more than for some of you to attend,” the singer wrote at the time. “It’s only small capacity so we can only select a few, but really looking forward to it. I will sing some new songs.”

A limited number of tickets were made available through a fan ballot, with the venue remaining undisclosed until the day of the show.

Duffy first rose to fame in the late '00s, winning Best Pop Vocal Album (Rockferry) at the 2009 Grammy Awards. Her last studio album, Endlessly, arrived in 2010, after which the singer retreated from the public spotlight for a long time.

In 2020, she opened up about being drugged, kidnapped, and sexually assaulted, which she revealed led to depression and spurred her decision to step away from music.

Duffy's new show, however, suggests a new era for the singer. She previously hinted at working on a new studio album, expressing her excitement about reconnecting with her fans through music.

“If only I could find the right words to explain how much I’ve missed you all,” she captioned a photo from a recording studio posted on Instagram in May. “Working on coming back to you.”

Disney+ has also announced that an upcoming Hulu Original documentary focused on Duffy’s life and career is currently in the works.
