Business Development Manager hired for ICC Sydney

Beverley Parker is the new Director of Business Development for the AEG Ogden-operated International Convention Centre Sydney which opens in late 2016. Parker served five years from 1999 as Director of Sales and Marketing with the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre and most recently was Executive Director of Sales and Marketing for Dockside Group.

Robert Dunstan joins Adelaide’s dB
Robert Dunstan, long time Editor of Adelaide’s Rip It Up and Adelaide Review, has become Music Editor and partner at rival dB Magazine. Meantime, Rip It Up is to become an online-only title.

Amy Gibbs joins Oaten Solicitors
Lawyer Amy Gibbs has joined Sydney-based Brett Oaten Solicitors. A board member of community radio station FBi, she presents its arts show Canvas.

Music retailer David Lacey, who ran the Music Bizarre store in Lismore NSW for 25 years, has retired aged 73. His business partner for the past 17 years, Deb Ray, will take over the business.

Fox’s Anstey scores TV gig
Fox FM Melbourne’s Dan Anstey is hosting a Tonight-style show called ManSpace. It started shooting last weekend, to air on GO.

Jason Iley named head of Sony Music UK
Former President of Mercury Records and Jay Z’s Roc Nation Records, Jason Iley, replaces Nick Gatfield as Chairman and CEO of Sony Music UK & Ireland. Based in London, he reports to Sony Music CEO Doug Morris and Sony Music International Chairman/CEO Edgar Berger.

Ben Cook moves to Atlantic Records
Ben Cook, President of Asylum Records UK also becomes President of Atlantic Records UK. Acts he signed include Ed Sheeran and Rudimental.
