Lime Cordiale have teamed up with TikTok, Tourism Northern Territory and NT Major Events for an exclusive live performance in Nitmiluk National Park.

Taking place tonight from 6:30pm AEST on their TikTok account, the band will perform a number of their hit songs from a makeshift stage that overlooks the Nitmiluk Gorge. The concert will be kicked off with a Welcome to Country ceremony from Jawoyn Association chairperson Lisa Mumbin.

“This opportunity to perform in Nitmiluk is something we don’t take for granted. This is the dream – to have music take us to places like this,” Lime Cordiale’s Oli Leimbach said in a statement.

“We’ve toured all over the place but the Australian landscape is like nothing else. Huge thanks to TikTok and Tourism NT for getting us out there and to the Jawoyn people for welcoming us to their land.”

Lime Cordiale released their second studio album, 14 Steps To A Better You, last year. The album made its mark, hitting the top spot on the ARIA Albums Chart and breaking the record for the most songs off a studio album to be included in the triple j Hottest 100 countdown.

TikTok’s director of music, Ollie Wards, said TikTok LIVE events give Australia’s great artists the opportunity to reach new audiences around the world.

“Lime Cordiale are one of Australia’s hottest bands right now, so to make them even hotter, we’re sending them to one of Australia’s hottest places for this unique TikTok live performance,” he said.

“With Lime Cordiale playing their fun pop-rock amongst the rocks of Nitmiluk Gorge, we can’t wait to showcase the band and the NT to TikTok’s global music fans.”

This isn’t the first Aussie music initiative spearheaded by TikTok’s local branch. After ex-triple j head Wards joined as director of music, the social media giant has also made a home for live-streamed performance series Isol-Aid (which initially streamed on Instagram) and partnered with Skegss for a local brand campaign.

It also launched a pop-up music station on ARN’s iHeartRadio, known as TikTok Trending, to get more people familiar with the music finding a new life on the platform.
